"Is it ready yet?", "How long do make a thing that does stuff?", "Jaaaems - WHAT is status?"
Sound familiar? If you're a coder it should. The hell bells of a PM rocking up by your desk are generally a nuisance and break your zen. If this happens several times a day you know it's time to do something - convert your PM to SOFTWARE (evil laugh...).
Ayo Binitie was ranting and soapboxing the rather most excellent AcuNote.com - Agile Project Managment Tool so respecting Ayo's choices for most things (except taste in women hehehaha..) i thought i'd take a look.
'Ah - another Basecamp' i hear you cry. Oh no my blog reading chum - this one has some major Dee benefitials:
It's build to operate like a cockpit - no waiting for pages to load - everything you need to do is built in to a tasty AJAXy dashboard. There's some rather nice JIRA (or other Bugtracker) integration, SVN integration and, well - you should really take it for a spin. Jeremy Clarkson would approve.
Now - we don't truly develop Agile here @ the lovely 4D Digital, and have found that AcuNote easily fits in to our development processes. It's the missing link - a great organisational tool, a great project visiblity app and above all it keeps those Project Managers at bay, saving us ££'s in tazers/guns and other heavy weaponry.
